Terrance L. Barber, a Tallahassee native and dedicated community advocate, has played a
pivotal role in transforming the landscape for minority and women-owned businesses in the Tallahassee area. He achieved this through the creation of Working-Class Wednesday, “The Ultimate Networking Experience.” Since its inception in December 2016, Working-Class Wednesday has quickly become one of the most attended events for local business owners, offering a platform where entrepreneurs can connect with potential clients, fellow business owners, and community leaders.
Barber has been actively involved in various community initiatives, including serving on the
inaugural Citizens Advisory Committee for the Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality, specifically within the Minority, Women, and Small Business Enterprise division. A proud graduate of Tallahassee State College, Barber was also featured in the 2018 Annual Cherry Alexander “Black History Calendar” and served on the Foundation Board at TSC and is also a 2024 inductee of the Tallahassee State College Hall of Fame, a recent recipient of Leon County Commission Proclamation for his service to community, and a leadership Tallahassee Alum.
With nearly a decade of experience in the automotive industry and several finance certificates from the Jim Moran Institute in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Barber has been well-prepared for his the Director of Community Development at Loyalty Credit Union. In this capacity, he only serves communities across Florida’s Panhandle as a certified financial counselor but also empowers individuals and businesses to achieve financial stability and growth. Barber’s commitment to fostering economic opportunity and his unwavering dedication to his community continue to shape the future of Tallahassee and beyond, making him a vital force for positive change in the region.
